For me, my local area of coast at Godrevy is characterised has having dark, towering gnarly rocks alongside swirling turquoise blue sea. This piece is heavily influenced by my walks in that area, the dark edge is made using a ground up sandstone that I find on the beach and sprinkle onto the soft clay. Although predominantly blue and dark brown there is an important yellow element that adds an important visual contrast.

Slab built vessel with incised lines, engobes, underglaze, glaze and oxides. Fired to 1140°C
