Harbour Walk I
Height 12cm Width 15.5cm Depth 7.5cm
This is another one of a very small collection of pieces that I’ve made with legs. I am always thinking of ways of elevating the forms I make and creating space underneath them. I like the way the legs are not just stuck on but emerge from the piece and can also be seen on the inside. I think they have something boat like to them. The legs also become repetitive marks in themselves and are similar to the incised marks that I might apply to the surface of a piece.
Slab built vessel with incised lines, engobes, underglaze, glaze and oxides. Fired to 1140°C
