Lost Steps

I am often drawn to human made structures that create a visual contrast to the natural landscapes that they are in. They can also suggest something historical about human behaviour and our past use and relationship with the landscape. These lines suggest such a structure; the blue horizontal marks have been brushed on while the repeated darker marks along the bottom edge are pre-fired ceramic pieces that have been pressed into the soft clay.
